Shipping Policy for Large Complex Products

When purchasing certain larger products from Hoists.com (jib cranes, below the hook devices, etc.), understand our purchasing and return process. Due to the complexity of shipping prices, we charge for shipping separately.

Separate Shipping Charge

When purchasing large complex products from Hoists.com, there are a couple things to consider:

  • Separate Shipping Charge: Shipping costs are more difficult to predict. For this reason, we charge for the large item upfront and give an estimate for shipping costs. After shipping costs are calculated, we’ll communicate the shipping price to you, and you can then either approve the charge or request a refund for the original charge.
  • Jib Cranes: During the shipping process, it’s completely normal for paint to chip from the jib crane. A container of touch-up paint will be provided with your order.

Returning Large Complex Items

Returns are rare, but we understand that they are occasionally necessary. Please understand our large complex product return policy when making your purchase. Because of the size of these products, we strongly recommend ordering after you are certain that the desired product meeds your project’s specifications.

  • Shipping Fees: Unless the return is due to an error from the manufacturer or due to Hoists.com, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Restocking Fees: There will be a $200 restocking and refurbishing fee for all returned Abell-Howe jib cranes. For Below the Hook devices, custom devices are not returnable. Standard BTH devices incur variable restocking fees depending on the product. Please call to discuss with our sales team.
